Acid Eiffel is a big reminder why i love music made from machines and this is just EPIC ! A sea of warm synths just wash over you......... Goose bumps ;)

Soofle's "How Do You Plead?" is worth checking out, too. Detroitish to my ear, in a dreamy way forward pushing and that little bit of acceptable cheesiness. I just recently got to know this track via Mike Huckaby's mix for the Little White Earbuds podcast (No. 50). At first I found the female vocal sample ("Wanna be with you, wanna tell you that") quite annoying: Too "vocal house". But lots of things were possible in 1993 and it makes sense. Somehow. It fits to the above mentioned amount of melodic cheesiness and it works a bit like a counterpoint to the other male vocal samples that are acceptable at once. Check.

Quite frankly one of the most stunning electronic music productions of the past 2 decades. Even though it lasts over 12 minutes, it is so tempting to listen to it all over again! And it sounds just as good at +4 and it does -2 on the pitch. I often wonder how long this took to produce. I once read in an interview with Laurent that when he makes a track, he changes his mind so many times throughout production with various new ideas that the end result is always something that he had not anticipated, so i wonder what this could have ended up sounding like, depending on his mood that day / week? A true standout track with the same high quality and originality of Sven Vath's "Barbarella".

Choice - Acid Eiffel, one of the very best techno/acid tunes of all time. A melody you easily can get on your mind, a very nice amibent melody together with cool laser sounds from time to time.

This appeared when acid-house was veering toward the screeching 303's of 'Higher State of Conciousness' and reminded us all that that little box from Roland was capable of something far more subtle and, ultimately, rewarding. This track nearly had me in tears when i first heard it. Benchmark classic.
