"Most of the music contained in this album originates from recordings I made in London in 1982, whilst working on the score for the film Blade Runner. Finding myself unable to release these recordings at the time, it is with great pleasure that I am able to do so now. Some of the pieces contained will be known to you from the Original Soundtrack of the film, whilst others are appearing here for the first time. Looking back at Ridley Scott's powerful and evocative pictures left me as stimulated as before, and made the recompiling of this music, today, an enjoyable experience."

I just picked on of these up in the UK at HMV, new, just released today, has the same info as this version, could it be they held stocks back for a second wave?

I hear Bullmoose is accepting preorders for a new version to come out on January 16 with a similar tracklisting. It looks like the US is going to get this version.

What a great surprise that must have been in HMV to find this. I thought I remember reading somewhere about a repress coming this year, but can't remember where I read it. There's a seller on Amazon UK right now that also has 3 of this pressing brand new in stock for £16. Snapped it up, been wanting this for a long time now.

This new version sounds great. My pressing is very clean with no surface noise. The packaging is minimal - just pictures and the Vangelis quote on the gatefold with no insert, but the cardboard used is heavy weight and not likely to damage easily. The inner sleeve is black paper which is a nice design touch. "Blade Runner Blues" sounds especially great on vinyl. Perfect rainy night listening.

Doomwarden

One of the best-sounding vinyls ever [2015 reissue European print/black vinyl] in addition to being an absolutely timeless classic as a movie soundtrack. Truly recommended.

Probably was having a bad day at the colony and for that I'd like to apologize. I tend to get mad at people who review to brag that they own an expensive/rare vinyl. Obviously that was really far fetched in this case.

One of the best-sounding vinyls ever [but only the version I have, remember me]. Oh and on a side note it's also a pretty ok soundtrack to an ok movie. But yeah, truly recommended and I am deeply sorry for anyone unlucky enough to not own this masterpiece [not me though, please don't forget about me].On a serious note, maybe I should stop collecting, I'm not that far in and who knows, maybe I'll one day get to the point of my only source of self-confidence being my vinyl collection too if I don't stop or at least slow down now... Consumption is a drug
