"During the cold winter days of 2000, our magnificent artistes in residence, Project Dark were struck by an outstanding idea.

It was a simple concept with a delightful result. To reconstruct a record player using a cassette tape head as a stylus and pre-recorded 1/4" audio 'magnetophone' tape affixed to a 7" single (SIN0068 in The Project Dark Singles Club). It lasted for a couple of days before it collapsed, leaving only these recordings for posterity.

You will perhaps recognize certain segments of these recordings as they form part of the backing music for 'Camper Afraid Of The Dark', a composition from the compact disc entitled 'Very Cheap' by Project Dark and Sexton Ming.

As always, I am pleased to be able to facilitate such an insight into the working mind of the splendid Project Dark."
