Survivors
Credited by many as the first 'broken beat' tune, Dark Jazzor (often wrongly titled 'Dark Jazz' in DJ's charts) is an absolute classic future jazz/broken beat/nu jazz tune. The chopped up brush drums and dark brooding synths make it a tune ahead of it's time and it sounds great on a big system! If you like this, check out the Bel Air Project remix of Roni Size's 'Down' for more of the same amazing drum programming.

Having been released in '97 this track was so out on it's own it's untrue... I first heard Dego from 4-Hero play it on plate a few months before it's release... I was completely blown away...!!! Killer tune for nice big club system! I'm sure, infact I know many people were highly influenced by this at the time... but I don't think anyone came close to it's amazing brushed drum patterns... Amazing.
