Musical Heritage Society Club issue, licensed from Universal Classics Group, featuring a compilation of suites from both "Star Wars" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" composed by John Williams , as well as two of their classical antecedents, composed by Gustav Holst and Richard Strauss respectively (and further described as "a spectacular programme of brilliant orchestral showpieces which have a strong connection with outer space" on the inlay card!), all performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Zubin Mehta. The packaging features an eight-page booklet, with liner notes credited to "Decca ," as well as track and technical information, on the interior pages; and color front and back covers, the former featuring a photo of "The Stella Eier" from NASA at the bottom and album graphics at the top, and the latter reproducing the track information from the back of the inlay card. (The title is given as "The Planets / Star Wars / Also Sprach Zarathustra" on the booklet cover, but as "Planets/Star Wars/Zarathustra" on the spine -- the former is more descriptive of the actual contents, and since the latter was probably abbreviated in order to fit on the spine, the former has been used as the official title for the release.)
