I'm surprised this one got such a low rating. A very lovely quirky record that really epitomizes the eclecticism of underground house and techno at the time: sci-fi type vocal samples, the sampled synth chords from 808 State's "Pacific", breakbeats, and bleepy, melodic, straight-out-of-1990 transcendent type "clean MDMA" melodies all make an appearance here. All of this takes me back to really bright, happy spring day around this time and needless to say, that's far from a bad thing. Maybe not worth collector prices but well worth a few bucks on vinyl, otherwise you can satisfy your curiosity via the usual (YouTube).

Rare
good grief... Certain state of mind explains it all! been looking for very long time

Didnt really like this when it came out but bought it anyway. I would have to agree with the post from AndroidHeaven this is someone version of a weird sample based future. Tons of obvious breaks and loops and Kraftwerk, synth pop samples. Quirky and hard to dislike so im might hang on to it. Cant see me ever playing again tho.....lol

Tyler Is Not Here
This record well diserves a mention. My only criticism is that both sides are two short and dont indulge in wierdnes even more. It really stands out for its time, it is so much more perky and positive than most 1990's deep tech house; "THis is Our B-side" has this amazing squealing synth sound and breaks up and down in a totally perculiar yet amazing fashion. It has a really lush tech house percussion feel, witnessed on labels like LHB and used by the likes of Terry Francis and bushwacka in much later years. However by far the most amazing thing to me, is that it sounds like Tetris or mariocar. Something that has come in fashion amongst the 'chippers' like Faulty DL et al, only in the last 4 or 5 years. Its like the producers had some wierd vision of the future when they conceieved this. Crazy. Certain State of mind is quality 1990 tech house, in its normal stringy off-beat form.
