I always felt the carl craig mix was a bit limp. It stops too often to build up a groove. Robert Hood's mix is a typical Minimal Nation era jam, pretty cool. I actually like the Hawtin mix the most. Well, I hated it when I first heard it but I just keeep going back to it's strange, toad-like squelchy groove. Have a listen. Have a chuckle.

Dan Bell fans are always going to prefer the original versions of his works then any remixes that are done by other people. But when you have your original work being handled by some of the most capable people like Carl Craig, Richie Hawtin and Robert Hood, this becomes like an event in itself. This record by all means is the flagship work of one Mr. Dan Bell. I still try to incorperate DBX into my sets quite often. Which was nice when I was listening to Carl Craig's remix and thinking "Wow, this is still really a great tune"! Carl has always taken great little bits of history by Kraftwerk or Yello and throw them into the mix. He does that with success on this one.

Ahhh . . . "I'm losing controllllllll!" I remember the first time I heard the Carl Craig remix of this track I had a head full of acid and was quite literally out of control. For some reason the lics on this track brought me around into a mad fit of giggles and delirium and then I realized the absurdity of being all serious all the time and worrying about shit . . . Groundbreaking moment in my life . . . I haven't worried since . . .

In my opinion the best remix record of all times!!! three of the most respected producers in high quality techno biz did transform a milestone in minimal techno history from the king of minimal techno into their very own style. every track shows the personality of its remixer. carl craig created a warm and moody track, rob hood reminds to his untitled series on M-Plant Rec. But my favourite on this ep is Richie Hawtins version. He transforms the vocals through the whole track, supported by a well swingin' bassline and the minimal synths - EXCELLENT!!! Thank you all, good job - Long live DBX!
