The quality issue is just one of disc size and rounds per minute. This is why the accepted audiophile standard for singles is 12" @ 45rpm. 'Aint No Love Lost' intro is well used! Haven't played the 7" yet, will report back when I've been home... I would like to know who King pay the royalties to. Did Curtis sort out his affairs before he left this globe? I can feel a series of Curtom sevens coming on...

I agree with Just_Played, the sound quality is just ok. I haven't heard any copies of the 1973 pressings, but my mp3 rip of someone's early press is much higher sound quality. As much as I love Tom Moulton, I prefer the shorter mix. Moulton's mix is cool, but doesn't kick. It's not really dancefloor mix. It's more atmospheric and laid back. Both songs are fantastic though, and if you're looking for a more laid back mix of the song, then this could be perfect for you.

Haven't heard other pressings but didn't have any issues with the sound. It's the opener on this mix if anyone wants a sample.https://soundcloud.com/mick-bun/disco-boogie-soul

Not a great pressing. Quite noisy in parts and vinyl looks filthy. Possibly done through Diamond Black in Luton, who tend to have pretty grim looking vinyl.

Coiwield
Sounds killer on both the systems I have played it on. The a-side is bananas!
