Man, the sound is incredible: an excellent work by E.J., unfortunately crowned with unexpectable touch of sounds of snap, crackle, pop, pop, pop, everywhere on side 1 and Side 2. A disastrous pressing! Whom can we complain about? Who can we trust? Maybe someone at Record Store Day has the answer? Hey, R.S.D. ... :-(

Junk. Bought 2 and both were complete garbage. Very noisy. I had dumped my original assuming this would be amazing but now I'm on the hunt for another original and I'll throw this one away. Sad example of a "RSD Release" cash grab.

Wild Python

Me too - horrible scratching sound on side one all the way through in the right channel. AND it continues on the 2nd side! Shame really, as the remaster is pretty ballsy and dynamic.

I had some surface noise issues with side two first track. It's only a little at the beginning when the music is still soft. Plays good all the why through after the first few minutes. Side one, no issues. Overall, very good mastering. Had a little smudge on side two, pressing plant issue, did not affect playback.

Kifer

A friend of mine & I each bought the RSD 2018 U.K. repressing & both copies have a nasty crackle that can be clearly heard in the R/H channel only most of the way through side 2 opening track Alaska. It's really quite prominent & very annoying. My friends turntable set-up is more revealing than mine & consequently on his Hi-Fi it sounds horrific!Has any one else come across this fault on this RSD repressing?

Yes, I have the same pressing. It has quite clear scuffs on both sides of the record, but fortunately I can only hear a crackle at the beginning of Alaska. Still, I expect quality control to be more exacting these days. The recording itself though sounds very good overall considering. I did give the record a good clean before playing it.
