"Mutiny (Why You Talkin Bout My Mom Mix)" is where it's at on this release and more accessible to traditional hip-hop headz who may not be so into a rock oriented sound due to the track's strong urging to make you nod your head, based on raw drums and tough lyrics. The first 2/3 of the song uses similar live drum patterns and funk grooves you hear on The Brand New Heavies "Heavy Rhyme Experience Vol. 1," Beastie Boys releases of the time, The Roots "Do You Want More?!!!??!" and some DJ Shadow tracks of the period with some well placed DJ cuts until the song breaks down into a hardcore hip-hop/rock crescendo.
