Gogal
Great obscure Privately Pressed 1976 Self-Released 7" on the artist's own Nightcrawler label, released with Picture Sleeve. Johnny Barnes was a Boston Rocker from the 1970's - early '80s who was originally from born in New Bedford, Mass. Early on Barnes sang and played harmonica in a blues band in New York City's Greenwich Village from the late '60s until moving to Boston, where he started his own band & played with many Rock & Roll legends & released a dozen records, one of which became a hit in England and led to work with legendary producer Jimmy Miller (Rolling Stones, etc.) Andy Pratt also played and recorded with Barnes at times. This 45rpm is a very early record by him that is more Punk and Dirty than his later material, with these songs sounding gritty and somewhat like the New York Dolls. Great Record!
