Never would I have believed that one day I would spin a song called "Summer of 69" in a mix, let alone a cover of the Bryan Adams original. Believe it or not it happened. At some point in time I was at a loss for what record to play next; "Summer of 69" by Topmodelz was a good fit for the next song (maybe it was also the next record in the box XD) so I dropped the Club Mix. You would've been surprised like I was to see a bunch of people who mostly can't speak English sing the lyrics to this song! The record itself doesn't have much to offer; insipid post-hard trance that tries to cross over with 80s rock. Dan Winter's and Hi-Tack's remixes don't do much better. Through and through the song is more of a novelty than a serious dancefloor destroyer that some make it out to be. Seems like Pulsedriver wasn't busy making some embarrassing remix so he whipped this cut together and called up his boys to do some remixes. There's worse out there, but plenty better.
