This is the fourth album from the Connecticut-based instrumental trio Forever Einstein. Guitarist Chuck Vrtacek wrote most of the material, which calls upon the formidable chops of all three players. This music also embraces a hefty amount of compositional smarts and humor. Bass guitarist Jack Vees and drummer John Roulat are not limited to solely rhythm section duties, as they pop in and out of every other layer in the music. The recording is crisp and clear, with Roulat's cymbals ringing with a particularly warm presence. As has become the band's custom, the song's titles (clearly devised after the fact), are fanciful, cerebral, and lengthy--each one being, in fact, a sentence of its own. This music mixes overt experimentation with progressive, highly-composed structures and good rocking fun.Review by yar
