Notes

The Figgs began life as the Sonic Undertones in 1987 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. In this form the band released "Put Me Up" as a cassette album that same years.

In 1989, the band re-named themselves THE FIGGS and recorded a 7" 45 Happy for Absolute a Go Go. Next came Ginger and in 1993 they released another cassette album Ready, Steadu, Stoned. The band then began to increase their industry and grass root support through successful gigs at CBGB's and Knitting Factory and in the fall of 1993 toured the Northeast opening for the Cranberries.

THE FIGGS are Mike Gent - Guitar and vocals, Pete Donnelly - bass and vocals, Guy Lyons - rhythm guitar and back-up vocals and Pete Hayes - drums. Their influences range from the Beatles and the Stones to the Clash. Elvis Costello and Graham Parker are strong influences on THE FIGGS hook laden writing style. THE FIGGS album, Low-Fi At Society High, is set to be released on June 28, 1994.
