"Et la Vie l'emporta" is a work (Cantate) by Frank Martin that was commissioned by the company Zyma SA.
It is to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the company (1900-1975).
The gatefold sleeve contains notes and the sung-texts in French only.

This release contains a separate two sided insert (30 by 30 inch) with Dutch notes only.
It contains the translated notes and sung-texts from the gatefold sleeve on one side.
And extra notes on the composers and performed works on the other side by Harry Halbreich.

The recordings of pianist Alfred Cortot have been reproduced with the kind permission of EMI Records, London.
