Absolutely superb! Incredible basslines, soulful melodies that verge on the brink of deep and tech house and intermittent vocals that add a dash of spice. Euphoric and inspired, melodic and hard-hitting, this is by far one of the best electronic releases of 2018 so far. Imagine Kassem Mosse's Workshop lo-fi melancholy, add a dash of Theo Parrish's exuberance, Deepchord's muted beats and Four Tet's more dancey tracks - and that description barely even does justice to the sound Ilo created here. I am an avid collector of electronic vinyl and have never heard of Ilo; I bought this impromptu at Amoeba and couldn't be happier that I did. What a gem! Don't let "Sessions" slip under the radar!
