Robin Beck? Never heard of her before. Let's check out this vinyl. That was what I was thinking going through a seller's crates. Judging on the label, the year, and the producer, I gave it a try. The man behind all this is Kenny Lehman, who we all now from the first Chic productions, and of course Lemon! "Sweet talk" is a great song. It makes a perfect bridge between late 70's funky disco and that early 80's synth-pop. In my opinion, this song is a classic. 'I'll let you sweet-talk, right back me', 'Now you're sweet-talkin' someone new'... The lyrics are fresh, and cunning. Great stuff! The chorus flows seemingly over in the verses and vice versa. I really like the changes in tempo, and of course Robin's sweet voice. Truly recommended!
