The 'A' side "Personne Ne Dort" sweeps to on bright, lightweight framework of drums, bass, guitar & soaring keyboards with what sounds like harmonica. The pace is medium-fast, with the guitar sketching intricate motifs between beats. After a few listens it seems very familiar - it's not immediate music, but grows on you - bright, fast Pop music. "Jamais Plus" opens to an almost medieval tune with keyboards whipping and spinning webs of gossemer sound to a slower, more moody sound - a touch of the East, a cool breath in the desert night and the twinkle of a star or reflection from a sharpened blade.
