err, yeah exact same CD horror! Loved this, was resigned to having lost it to total disk decay. Want a copy again, guess I'll have to get it on another format. Bah!

Blank: Yes, I have exactly the same problem. I just went to sell it and found the outer surfaces of the CD to be severely damaged. Bummer!

I wonder if any other owners of this specific version of the (imo fantastic) release have encountered the same experience as me: With the years the surface of the CD has dissolved to a degree that is completely unlistenable now. I do own some other CDs effected by disc rot and the like, but nothing as severe as with this here, with the surface on the recorded side looking like it has been transformed into a strangely crystaline structure. Thank god I have the vinyl as well, as I really love this work from the heart!

Yep! Happened to my copy too! Won't play in an 'audio' CD player, luckily the data was still intact and I have remastered my copy onto another CD!Also was there a track listing with it? I have only known the names since the listing has been online!Top EP!

Same here. I bought my copy already in used condition and thought it was bad luck back then. Apparently it's a chemical reaction between the outer layer of the disc and the disc tray. Never seen this "crystalline" phenomenon before. The sad thing is: You'll probably never get another copy without this strange damage, except maybe the UK or US versions.

Blank: this is exactly what happened to my copy as well. i was playing it today, for the first time in years, and noticed the bizarre damage to it. i actually came to the release page to see if there were any copies for sale so i could replace it, but it looks like thats a lost cause if its affecting other people's copies...
