When you pass by a CD shelf in a store, you tend to miss the "2 CD's for the price of one!" type of stuff thinking it is bad quality and cheap in its own way. Especially electronic CD's. And your right! A lot of it is pretty bad quality....well except this.This 3 CD packet serves up a taste of good-old deep house. The first two are all deep house tracks that are not mixed but in their 12" forms. The song placement, I think, is at its best considering it's deep house and there are so many deep house tracks in the world good or bad. The songs come from some of the finest DJ/producer's songs such as Kings of Tomorrow, DJ Sneak, Loleatta Halloway, Moby, and others. They keep a well designed beat and avoid dragging and becoming repetitive. Although not many tracks carry vocals, the array of songs carry a variety. Ranging from deep vocal, plain beats and loops, to a more deep, progressive feel. Some songs just give you that wierd, groovy feeling that you only get from a great Danny Tenaglia set because they are so deep and progressive. It is sort of a journey through deep house that stops along different styles. Amazingly groovy!The 3rd CD is a "bonus" mix. The producers give a taste of some really late-night grooves. Many are taken from the first two and mixed together. Although the CD just fades from one track to another, the order of the songs is yet like another journey. It starts with deep groovy house and then takes a turn to some progressive deep house. The variety and style is carried on a great solid feel and keep the mix going.
