Otis hosted a television show, The Johnny Otis Show, and became an influential disc jockey in Los Angeles, with a program on radio station KFOX in Long Beach in 1955. After signing up with Capitol he himself also had a couple of hits from this 'The Johnny Otis Show' including this 1959 sample.
This specific release has the letters K.A. printed, and I bought it in Belgium, found other Captiol records where 'Keep A/C' in a similar box indicates a German release.
