Trankilou (ark + Pepe) are sampling an artist called Junior Byron https://www.discogs.com/Junior-Byron-Sunshine/release/1107084 his track "inch by inch" is the main guitar groove in the Trankilou track "St Estephe" of course combined with deniece williams vocal from her track "Free" https://www.discogs.com/Deniece-Williams-Free/release/1008212

Such a big record in 97'. DIY were busy as Bee's in my home town of Nottingham, Daft Punk were blowing up (when they were something special) & deep house/techno nights were all over the city. Every night. And it would seem no one was without a copy of this seminal 12"... And of course its tasteful mutated ball bag cover art ;-/

Zymbl
my family history dates back to notts till 1600s; cheers ;)

An outstanding EP. A Full on french / deep house stormer and well worth the price its selling for. Pepe Braddock teaming up with Berroyer and delivering a master class.

Wow, the price of this has really escalated. My guess is that a new wave of Daft Punk fanboys have just heard 'Champagne'! That's not to say that this album isn't absolutely killer. Because it is.

St estephe, What a beautiful Track, A lil fast but drop this as a grande finale and there will be all smiles : ) Atom funk is also a seriously funky tune with various techno switchovers throughout the single, The whole EP is amazing, Including the short but sweet intro and outro tracks. The only real thing i don't like about this vinyl is the cover but once you've looked past it and got down to business you'l forget all about it, It's not very often you come across a vinyl where every single is so carefully put together, And i don't say this very often but this is an essential.

Thomeena
Number 6 right there on the cover -capable of putting a gross image on good music. That's amazing!

Runehammer
Sublime weapon...absolute killer dance floor record

I can't sniff out any 909s on this. It sounds like mostly Linn drums. Bradock himself said that he samples much of the breaks and drum loops from other records using an Akai :)
