When approaching such a name like Collage Noire you really don't know what to expect.Could it be the umpteenth obscure and forgotten cold wave one-shot band from the early eighties, suddenly disappeared in a heroin-like oblivium? Or yet another teens fancyful will of dark and gloomy tales for their so-called nu-metal act? Both suggestions could work, but they're just suggestions.Collage Noire is exactly what it says: a deep (and thinly disquieting) path into gloomy atmospheres and first-generated musical elements. A new organised musical form of mystery.Imagine a tribal gathering with drums, ancestral sounds and animal-like feeling melted with strings, samples, bass-lines and rattle-beats.Imagine to be pushed in the chaos spiral, in a primordial vortex of generating forces, imagine to be part of a ritual.Imagine to be lost in a dark and dull city.Techno and industrial music dates a long relation with tribalism and percussive compositional structures, both centering their effects on the power of repetition and variation.Collage Noire shifts everything towards alternative narrative forms, operating by cutting more than expanding schemes, syncopated beats more than progressive patterns, juxtaposing harsh and synthetic sounds with warm and acoustic elements, across the imponderable fil rouge connecting Muslimgauze's obsessions and Shackleton's deep flow. The result is a truly personal musical blend, made up of techno sounds through and through organised without seriality, an almost jazzy and crosswise sense of melody knitted with industrial scapes and thrilling atmospheres, always on the edge of a black hole. This is a further and significant step into the Kaometry core-concept, where instinctual form of measures appears into first-generated horizon.
