I mostly have to agree with the nice review from chischis. D3R continues down the path of tight, funky, yet somewhat unchallenging tech house that he started in earnest 10 years ago and most recently with Morgenland. Aydszieyalaidnem is definitely good mix fodder for DJs, and is well produced as always, but doesn't leave too much for the home listener. And the tracks just feel so long - I'm no time limit nazi, but 7 minutes of housey loops takes its toll after awhile, especially when not much new enters the track after the first couple of minutes. That said, there are moments where we are clearly reminded of Andreas' melodic roots. Chromdioxid is one of the only tracks with a progressive-y bassline (it plays different notes and changes key!) and is quite enjoyable overall, and En Garde is really a complete track with lovely pads, a full stereo field of effects and melodies, and a nice flow from start to finish. It's no surprise these are my two favorite tracks on the album, and they'll definitely see rotation in my DJ sets. But at the end of the day I'm still waiting for Andreas to move on from this safe kind of tech house and try his hand at something a little more energetic and psychedelic again - come on Andreas, you know you want to!

DDR have settled into a more generic tech house groove in latter years. Having been through all of their albums right from their early days, I find that Aydszieyalaidnem - more than ever - shows Andreas in a comfort zone. Pumping out funky technoid grooves that alternate between something more house and something more tech. Trouble is, up to - and including - Klubraum, DDR used to be more melodic than this. Arps, 303 lines, big basslines. These used to be stable features of their trancier days right up to Klubraum but, of course, since that album DDR have gone the minimal route and this album seems more undercomposed than any that have come before it.Some of the old funky magic is in there, Ratz Fatz has some huge stabs and an irresistible shuffled rhythm, and Dr. Zinnowitz has that odd-ball Germanic feel which has been a feature on previous DDR tracks. Most of the rest of the album is just long tech grooves that aren't particularly memorable and - again - feel undercomposed. Considering Der Dritte Raum's long-standing reputation and discography, and therefore Andreas undeniable production chops, this is a shame.
