The one and only known recording by Prelude from Kumla, Sweden. The band seems to have been Johan Johansson and Terry Ohlsson (who later played with Dark Crystal and Avalanche). Looking at the cover artwork and seeing Dario Argento, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Yngwie J Malmsteen on the thanks list and seeing a track called “Rock symphony” and see that they have written Mozart on tour 91 on the back cover you expect something neoclassical and the fact is that the A-side on this disc, which was written and performed mostly by Terry Ohlsson while Johan Johansson did the guitar work, is the highlight without doubt. Its much like the name says a symphonic rock track or rhapsody if you prefer to call it that. Very keyboard based and the nice guitar work here flows with the track and are not over the top like Yngwie J Malmsteens work. The B-side is a pop track with drum machine. This seems to have been written and performed completely by Johan Johansson where he asked two sisters from Svennevad, that were active in the Palsboda music association at the time, to do vocals and backing vocals. Lead vocals were done by Annika Medin (later Gedin) while backing vocals were laid down by Åsa Medin. In the future however it would be backinig vocalist Åsa Medin that would continue her musical journey and she can still be seen and heard at concerts especially in Orebro (as late as 2016). Annika Gelin/Medin wrote a track to the competition Soundtrack Orebro where the winning track would be the official track for the town Orebro’s 750th year anniversary. The track, that also featured Annikas daughters and her sister Åsa, didnt win but were later played at the 50th anniversary celebrating Occupational and Environmental medicine conference. The two tracks on this single were recorded at the Rolab Studio in Askersund in March of 1991 and were released in a one pressing only run of 500 copies. Artist Andreas Svensson (R.I.P.) who did this black and white artwork did some comic works and artworks for many local death metal demos at the time. One of his final drawings were used as a front cover for American death metal act Nunslaughter’s 2003 album “Hate Your God”.
