Klinik - Akhet - second disc entitled Orion.Beatless, deep drifting spacey ambient. Picture the Voyager spacecraft floating and drifting aimlessly by massive planets, slowly approaching, investigating from afar, through the darkened spacescape, but with a purpose. Truly a masterful space odyssey

Broadraven
When thinking about space music two major schools come to mind. The first and more traditional one whisks you away into the stars where you visit colourful nebulae, mysterious ringworlds and the darkest of dark black holes. You risk encountering alien civilizations and discover the mysteries of chakra or the third eye. The other school though, focuses on science and mathematics. It doesn't play around with romanticism too much but instead focuses on capturing the essence of the living, breathing universe. The sounds of near eternal fusion reactions inside the mysterious gaseous giants, the clicks and hums of life's building blocks or the growing pains of a new star being born. Akhet falls decidedly into this second category, and does a mighty fine job of mesmerizing you through its slowly developing drones. It avoids the pitfalls of experimental quirks and sticks with blissful yet minimal soundscapes. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
