For some reason, the vinyl pressing of this is pretty quiet for a metal release. Other than that, this an amazing package. I bought this used (at a great deal, support your used record stores, you never know what you'll find) for a price way lower than what's offered here and the guy I got it from sells based on vinyl quality, so I was worried there'd be a ton of surface noise and pops. I can honestly say that this album has little to no surface noise whatsoever; If it wasn't for the fact that the needle makes a sound when it touches the record, I wouldn't have even known the album started until the music came in. Also, the book it comes with is very nice, not just glossy poster-type paper throughout and contains some pretty awesome drawings. An important note however is that it doesn't really fit in the gatefold's openings right, it's better to keep it inside the gatefold rather than where the records are. The poster's nice and big and has pretty cool artwork as well.If you're a collector and really love this band, the vinyl package might be worth the price listed here (currently $80). For a more casual listener, it might be a bit steep. If it's not worth it, at least get the CD, because this is an amazing and incredibly dense death metal album that needs repeated listens to enjoy fully.
