MASTERPIECEunique alien braindance electro on a tonal scale that has nothing to do with do-re-mi-fa-lo-sa-ti-do

Hi guys! I've got this copy and I''m looking for someone who's interested. DM me if you are!

Best Album of 2016. It sounds like all of my favourite things from the past twenty five years of braindance rearranged into brilliant new combinations. This is truly a future classic you'll hate yourself for not owning. There's so much here it's hard to know where to begin. UK74R1408054 reminds me of and surpasses the best of Jeff Mill's Something In The Sky series. The psychobabble cult stuff is great for selling records too, brilliant all around.

If you like this, maybe check out https://www.discogs.com/label/266959-Artificial-Intelligence or https://www.discogs.com/label/401147-Trance-Europe-Express for some quality compilations from the early 90's. The TEE stuff isn't really trance as we'd now call it, but the compilations were ahead of their time, quite popular, and are available for pennies now, they also came with thick booklets packed with articles about the artists/scenes on the release. I think it's the structured rhythmic pulse which puts the Colundi material closer to early techno than braindance, and these compilations lean towards that sound too...

Nice to read such a confirmed review. Were you there 25 years ago? And can you shad a light on your feeling with this record? I wasn't there 25 years ago but I feel very connected to this sound. I'm interested because this record feels like a classic, well sounding and crafted Techno record to me, but no evocative to the Rephlex sound. Or any other Braindance label, as far as they exist. Love to hear your reaction.

This is stunning. I wasn't familiar with Perala's Colundi project prior to this compilation, but slap my thighs and call me Susan this is some brilliant music. Certainly some of it has strong scents of AFX, Mills and Mika Vainio, but the end product is fresh, fresh, fresh. Evocative, hypnotic, and beautiful. Delicate percussion, unrelenting bleeps and cascades of crystalline melodies. Most triple LPs are a touch flabby and arguably a couple of the more braindance-esque tracks weaken the whole slightly, but overall this is absolutely blinding. The recent Convextion album, while decent enough, was all about maintaining that classic techno sound; this nudges its beak into hitherto untasted pools. Album of the year, anyone?

sonic soundscapes and and celestial bleeps...Personally would have loved to see a bit more of Sequence 8 and 10 pop up in this (though there still is a Vol 2?), none the less, highly recommended (Also check out the Coulundi every0ne comp. if you dig this)

https://www.residentadvisor.net/features/2567I have read this now, two weeks or so after I purchased the album, and I recommend anyone to read this article and consider whether they really want to be associated with something like this. There are past precedents to things like that. There is now an imminent risk to their work, where their music is being compromised by these supposed inspirations leading to closing down a relevant label, plans to purchase land to build a community and who knows what else.

Golkree
whats da fuking problem?... Mr Perälä is a genius... so fuck you if you dont like his music or his interviews...

*Nameless*
Whaaaat are you even talking about? You made this comment months after the attempt to buy land failed. Don't believe most of what you hear from GWC or RDJ, they are and always have been huge pranksters. Rephlex had run its course for the time being. Maybe it will come back, maybe it won't. Do I honestly believe they shut it down because of Colundi? No, sorry, I do not. There are NO past precedents like this whatsoever. Name me one electronic music producer and/or label owner who tried to do anything they're doing? What's that... you can't? OK then. They aren't asking anybody to join a cult, they haven't even defined what they're doing. So what if they wanted to buy some land and use it as a way to release one of the Levels. More interesting than most of what every other artist does to release albums. It seemed pretty obvious that it would have been a public space anyway, so what's the problem? And while I'm here, why didn't you include your RDJ 9/11 trash talk from the other website comment section? smh, just stop it. There is no risk, imminent or otherwise, to anybodies work. In fact, far MORE music has been released through Aleksi doing the Colundi Sequence than all the rest of what he had done combined. Regardless, as much as I love Aleksi's music and nearly all of the music Grant has helped bring into our collective consciousness, these are small time operators. How many people, on a global scale, do you honestly believe are buying, or even listening to this music? Not enough, I can assure you. Not nearly enough. So whatever they can do to get people's attention and get more ears tuned in is fine by me.

Hi, is it normal that the 3rd vinyl is clear with orange and brown marbled ?

Dondallon
Thank you for the reply :-) but yes it's affect play because there are a lot of black dot on it and every black dot make noises ...

that's just contamination from the previous production run. I have (had) two copies of this and all 6 were completely crystal clear. I have several records that are supposed to be a solid color and there is a small bit of discoloration. It's just a defect but doesn't affect play in any way

Not the 3nr but the 2nd sorry, my bad !

A phenomenal album! I was a bit fearful when I ordered, as to whether Mr P's full frequency fireworks could make the transfer to vinyl, but hats off to Clone, the mastering & pressing is stunning, with these crystalline beatscapes beautifully rendered. My cones have never danced so much, and each disc is die-flat...which seems to be something of an event these days, sadly. Whoever was responsible, should drop Ricardo a line... ;-))The tracklisting/labelling is gleefully impenetrable, and I'm glad somebody else figured out the colour coding, because there's not even a run-out etching to guide you. The blue side is a beast, like Jeff Mills, peak-time, in hyperspace... I'm still working my way through the complete albums, so I only recognised some of the tracks (and still couldn't name one of them!) but it seems to form a fine survey of the work. And it definitely does manipulate you at a subtle level...!
