Afx Twin should have a had a bash at remixing this, the string noises that come in around 7.08 remind me alot of his work.

I've just received a sealed copy of this record and was a bit apprehensive about the pressing. I broke the seal and played both sides all the way through. It plays perfectly, no distortion, no static. It is a good, clean pressing, no issues whatsoever. I played it on a Technics 1210 Mk2, with a Stanton 500 AL cart, Stanton 500 v3 stylus with the tracking weight at 2.5 grams, anti-skate at 2.5. DJ Food has done a good job with the remix, but the original just simply can't be beaten. Timeless, raw, tribal music. You've got to give anyone a pat-on-the-back for even attempting to remix this colossus. Worth having for the original on a 12" single alone, although the remix will grow on you. Comes from the LP that was the sound track to my teens, very deep, very moving. To this day it still makes me doubt a hell of lot of things in life, including myself.

This is a shockingly badly mastered and/or cut record. The run-in on both sides has rather extreme vibration and noise, which should have been picked up by the engineers well before the record went into production.Yet more proof (if it were needed) that the major labels will release any old piece of crap at inflated prices to cash in on Record Store Day.
