Contrary to what some believe, Jay Dee (J Dilla) was not affiliated with the first 1st Down release from 1992. He doesnt appear whatsoever on the Cassette or the 12" EP release.The song "No Place To Go" was later released with a new Jay Dee beat and new recording of the lyrics on the 1995 release "A Day Wit The Homiez". At this time, Sure Bads X was replaced in the group by Jay Dee.
