Kofe handles an interest for a singular and dynamic hybrid between futuristic-structural electronic synthscapes and darkened catchy new wave pop. The collective is deliberately engaged in assaultive hymn-like electro songs with a kind of post-human dada neo-bauhaus inclination. Compositions are mostly structured as pop songs but solidly accompanied by synthesizers, programmed rhythms and textures with some very tense, menacing and mechanically impulsive qualities with a puzzling sense of weirdness. Followers of repetitive kling klang groundbreaking industrialism, electro-pop inflected synthedelica of Grauzone, Modèle mécanique, Degada Saf, Kas Product (…) won’t be disappointed by this distinctive work which is now fundamentally cult and part of the historically defined experience of the 80s electronic music underground. A real curiosity of the genre.- Igloo Magazine
