Overall it's pressed very good, but Lucky Denver Mint is sped up and that annoys the crap out of me. The latter half shines especially well though.

An excellent treatment for a modern classic. The definitive vinyl release, essentially, as it wallops the original pressing in sound quality and doesn't have the annoying split tracklist of the second edition reissue. The more delicate songs on Side C have essentially never been heard with this kind of (ugh) clarity and brightness... including the studio demo of Sweetness as a bonus track is awesome too since we get the more "Clarity" era rendition of it before they heavied it up for the Bleed American mix. Nice thick clear vinyl, pure analogue mastering chain done by the great Kevin Gray at CoHEARent... sturdy gatefold packaging with fold out full color liner notes and a promo poster, polybagged, poly-lined inners. A great example of what a reissue should accomplish--no need to own any other version.

I think you may find its cut at 24bit resolution digital from the original master tapes. This can sound almost as good as AAA though if done by someone like Kevin Gray...
