Couldn't agree more about this album being a grower. I bought it a few years ago around the beginning of my Trance obsession and it was on the strength of their reputation and "Tracking Treasure Down". When I got home to listen I was deeply disappointed for much the same reasons as the negative review on here talks about; the vocals were boring and it was severely lacking in ideas. No matter how many more chances I gave it (of which there were many), the only track that I could bring myself to like was "Eleven". However, sometime this year everything clicked and I began to see the positives of this album very quickly. It's worth stressing that this is not an album for fans of regular trance, it is far more rooted in Progressive/Tech House and all of the trancier material (Let Go/Enemy/Dangerous Power/Tracking Treasure Down) stays well away from traditional elements. What this album does have is originality, tight songwriting, well-chosen vocalists and a pheonmenal flow from beginning to end. Seeing as it cost me £5 for a brand new copy, I now consider "Gabriel & Dresden" a stupidly good bargain. If you're open-minded about dance music, this could be a very rewarding purchase.

Wow, Listening to this album was like the first time I had sushi: Didn't like it at first, but love it now. Having "Bloom" by G&D as one of my favourite albums, I had a hard time getting this one at first. After listening to it a couple of times I have come to absolutely love it. Pretty much every song is brilliant, especially number 1, 10, 11, 12. The album should be listened through from beginning to end to fully appreciate it; for me it has grown from being a small disappointment to a likewise or- even better, than "Bloom". It's an honest 5 out of 5.

Wow! What a horrible album! Its tracks are filled with a bunch of predictable outcomes and very cheesy vocals. The only two tunes that I have found to be interesting were Eleven and Sydney. Eleven is actually my favourite tune. Gabriel & Dresden had the potential as they made some quality productions - although most of them were a bit too commercial, but still quility - throughout years 2002-2004. Then they released the awesome, their best in my opinion, track Arcadia. After the release of Arcadia, I just thought it couldn't get better than this - an awsome production without any of that cheesiness that you would find in their earlier works. But the reality was that from that point on it just went downhill for these two. And this album just proves it. All of these tracks are well done and finished, but too finished and too uncreative. It actually didn't surprise me after hearing their Essential Mix back in spring. Basically they have great production skills but absolutely no ideas. I would recommend just buying track Eleven on 12" or mp3.
