All I need to say is Adam mixed in Mr. Sliff - "Rippin & Dippin Pt. 2", into "Open Source" from Marco Carola. Two epic songs in their own right, but if you don't fo absolutely mental when you hear that transition, then you don't love techno. As others have said, this is the best 3-deck techno mix you'll ever hear commercially released, even better than Adam's Stockholm Sessions CD.

Agree with all previous reviews of this album. I'm forever fortunate that my sister bought this CD then 'accidentally' left it at my house so now it's mine. One techno album you'll play over and over, guaranteed*.*guarantee is by no means guaranteed

The best officially released, commercially available, studio recorded - however you say it - mix I've ever laid my hands on. End of story, no further embellishments. There are numerous contenders for second and third place, and yes, I have been hesitant for a very long time to jot these thoughts down, but the fact is that out of my entire collection, this one has had the most spins. At this point I am absolutely certain of it. Two thirds of the tracks banged out on this CD are considered classics today. Absolutely meticulous tune selection, and to top it all off, Adam Beyer mixes in a manner I've never heard before, and let alone after. His performance I attended at Zagreb's Future Shock party way back then came close, but this is beyond belief. Surgeon's Prowler, Carola's Open Source, his own Signal 9 and Rippin & Dippin Pt. 2, Smith & Selway's storming Weather, Secret Cinema's sulphuric Acid Come, Speedy J's godlike Krekc - and countless "did he just do that?" moments - this mix has it all. Read: A L L ! The strucuture is impeccable, the build up is patient yet interesting, and when stuff starts to go off the meter around Vath's remix of Eurostar, it is executed in an immaculate manner. True class, not just an exhibit of one's collection, but a mix which strikes a fine balance between insight knowledge of the scene and cherished classics, between storming rush hour techno and preparatory cuts around which the back bone (cuts 13-21) of this mix is constructed. From the slower and determined introduction, followed by the absolutely incredible mid section, which is the focal part of this recording, through to the closing ambience of Luke Slater's From Above, this one never loses focus and charm, and that is its main strength, because it sounds as impressive when it builds as it does when it shamelessly erupts. If you enjoy this one, some similar mixes from the same period I can recommend are noche disc of Sven Vath's "In the mix - the sound of the second season", Chris Liebing's "U60311 Compilation Techno Division Vol. 1", the techno CD of Dave Clarke's "World Service" or the first disc on Luke Slater's "Fear and loathing". There's probably more stuff I am forgetting, but start with these and move on from there. However, if you partied around the time of this CD's release, then you need it. It will bring back more sweet memories than watching the old Captain Planet cartoon.

Often times dj mixes are used to inflate the skills of lack luster djs or as a platform to showcase specific tracks. This mix is a true mirror of an Adam Beyer live set. Great programming, top notch mixes and no nonesense approach. He keeps the mixes moving and avoids the mono techno trappings of genre. Get this one and enjoy it for years!

This is a fantastic CD, better even than the Umek Timewarp mix. It starts hard, but tracks 15-20 are unhingned, especially Krekc by speedy J. The mixing is so fast and tight it takes your breath away. If you're into dark, depraved techno then look no further
