First album by canadian Singer-Songwriter/lyricist, painter... who passed away in the mid-80's; acoustic/ electric bag w/bloozed barstool-fevered moods w/great swirly organ flashing back to the late 60's/ early 70's in sound; "stuck inside this bottle" is the crystallized confluence of drift-away, rustic melo-ripples of THE BAND and that solemn downer glare of PROCOL HARUM!! ...feat. a haunting mellotron strain! title track is boss Country-Folk w/ femme back-ups and wailing pedal-steel; ...well, it's a great album to this point but what heaves this' un onto some killer shelf is "Hero from the war" ...an unbelievable intense downer/loner-vybed ballad w/droning organ/mellotron spook and the burstin' in of the demonly-fuzzed lead-guitar makes you forget about anything you've heard out of this drawer! ...save maybe "road to Cairo" by David Ackles;
