First review is pretty spot on. I was a little disappointed in the packaging at first, but when I thought about it I didn't really know what I was expecting... gatefold maybe? At least an MP3 download. But we get a Nice glossy jacket with really cool artwork as the cover, so its all good. Vinyl sounds really nice too! Decent weight to it, nothing too heavy though.I really really like this release and would have given it 5 stars, but the third track.... just didn't really cut it for me. Played it at a friends house, we all love Com Truise (exception of one of us never hearing him before) and all the he has to offer, but we all agreed unanimously that Declination knocked it down a star.Still This album is a great listen if you are into Com Truise. Much more upbeat than I was expecting, not a bad thing though. The poppy overtone on all the tracks made it easy and fun to listen to for the one person in the room who had never heard any of his previous work. I would recommend buying this album at the end of the day, absolutely.

Wow. Just received my *non-purple* :( record. It came in a nice glossy jacket. No gatefold here ladies and gents, nor a nice art sleeve, nor a cool memento art card w/ a download code. I did get a Ghostly logo sticker, although I think this is because I pre-ordered directly from Ghostly. Weight of vinyl is amply good, but not a thick thick "audiophile quality" weight/thickness.---------- Now onto the real review:This is something quite different than from his Komputer Cast or Galactic Melt days. I do like it, I must say. It is a fairly new direction from him. Less "slow funk 80's serial killer" and more of an upbeat ...thing..... Hey. It is definitely still Com Truise.......that's all you need to know.OH. I should also add that this record better lends itself, imho, to slowing down into ambient territory than Galactic Melt does. Also, it seems to be EQ'd rather neutrally, almost bland.******* "Galactic Melt" is an awesome album. "Wave 1" is the next step that "In Decay" did not really bring. ******I'm hearing all kinds of little nuances from Boards of Canada -esque to some Aphex Twin glitchy-ness on Miserere Mei.

Just picked up my copy in-store yesterday. No gatefold and no art sleeve...i think by now we all know those descriptions belong to the 'purple' version and the black vinyl is standard. Agree to weight of the vinyl but its not super thick but this is mid-fi, synth-funk so what do you expect. Really like the last track and this will be getting plenty of time on my walkman over the next few days.
