Similar gatefold releases printed in Germany or for german market on Discogs, ordered by approx. release order:
- 1970 or later - The first, early releases are from Atlantic, have "GEMA P.1970" on 2 o'clock on label and have a laminated gatefold. Also there is no text on back sleeve:
This is probably the first, only SD7200 Category on front sleeve and Category on label is only ATL-SD7200
This is prob. the 2nd, has "50 001" & "SD 7200" on front sleeve, label also mentions Category "50 001"
- 1972 or later - Followed by later releases where main Category on label is "ATL 50 001" as this Kinney release from probably late 1972 with bold "WEA" letters on label, but two lines of circled text.
This WEA release probably dates from 1973 - already a WEA release, 2 lines of label text, still no label code, no distribution codes.
There is also this leathered sleeve version , already from WEA and another release from Kinney that are said to have only SD7200 Category on front (early release) - proper pictures are missing to verify.
Probably followed by this laminated gatefold WEA version which still has no LC, but already (U) as distribution code on front sleeve - so approx. between '74 and '76.
- 1976 or later - Then releases all have a label code (LC), german distribution code (Z), label mentions Warner Communications - and also there is text on back sleeve. Sleeve is non-laminated for all following releases:
The only and probably oldest one with LC, but still no distribution code for France on front sleeve is this GEMA release (THE CURRENTLY VIEWED VERSION), while this SACEM and this GEMA release both have "WE341" as code for France on front sleeve now.
On before mentioned versions the LC is at 2 o'clock on label, while all following/later releases have LC in bottom area of label.
- 1984 or later - All versions have GEMA/BIEM from this on:
This version is the last one where Category on label is "ATL 50 001" (from 1984), but first with three lines of circled text on label rim (in three languages).
Later the Category on label is "K 50 001" as in this release that distribution code for France "WE 341", while "WE 361" is on this later version.
Finally there is the only version with barcode, also with "WE 361" - and the only one not mentioning the 2nd Category "ST-A 701829" on label which is probably the youngest.
