Freaky and down right weird album by The Real Things. They released the album "Doin' Their Thing" in 1970 privately in Portland, Maine. 3 originals with 9 covers. All of the covers are from different genres, including a polka song (yes polka), Everly Brothers, and The Mama's And Papa's. 2 of the originals are mediocre, "Ardee" is a fast pop-psych song while "Poor Blues" is a slower blues track. The 3rd is "Last Letter From Her Son" which is a Vietnam protest song. Not very good at all though. Overall not that good of an album, but there a couple of good gems hidden under the terrible covers.
