The same tracks that you've heard on 14 previous MOS Trance Nation compilations, now on four discs so you can punish yourself for twice as long with the "buildup-BANG-buildup-BANG" of 20 tracks crammed into each disc.I never understood who would like this kind of mix. No flow, no journey. Just big track after big track peaking one after each other in quick succession. It's a bit like watching Saturday night TV. It's accessible, it's easy, it's fun for five minutes but ultimately it just makes you want to vomit.This compilation is also available on download sites in unmixed format. You would be forgiven for checking it out, I mean you could pick up that Moonman remix of The Orange Theme that's quite hard to find digitally, eh?No.The unmixed selection is a fucking joke. Half the tracks are radio edits and the "full length" ones that you might be interested in are either titled wrongly or chopped up (inexplicable for a digital, unmixed format).For example, the previously mentioned Moonman remix of The Orange Theme: On digital download you'll discover that it is in fact a badly edited (5:14) version of the Bervoets & de Goeij remix.At least they got the mix title to match the track for Armin's remix of another hard-to-find track, L'Esperanza. But why is it only 7:02 long when the original CDM had a duration of 11:16? Listen to it and find out! Yes, that's right! It's been horribly cut to shreds!Basically, all the tracks that are correctly titled and full-length are the ones you've had on CDM since they were released and played to death. There is nothing new of interest here to CD/Digital DJ's.I don't think MOS give a fuck.

I agree with you, and in fact I never really liked the Trance Nation series to begin with. I absolutely hate it when some songs are given an incredibly high pitch compared with the original song to fit in with the mixing, that makes me want to vomit or throw the album in the trash can. It is a huge problem here, and an average problem with Gatecrasher releases like 'Gatecrasher Classics 1 & 2'. If you're after trance from 1999-2000, try 'The Best Trance Anthems...Ever!' mixed by John Fleming. Its not 'perfectly' mixed by any means, but it is highly satisfying, especially the second disc. It fits in well and its a good journey, and none of that out of place or high/low pitched nonsense.
