I was not a big fan of Arjuna's work before, except for some tracks and some collaborations, but this album has taken me by surprise. Normally I'm more into the organic / mossy side of Forest Psytrance, and this is the first time an album with a more different approach has stuck with me so long. Something that I keep thinking about while listening to this album is that this is what "Dark Psytrance" has always tried to be. It has all these elements, but brought to a perfection. It never sounds just mechanical or organic, but walks the perfect balance in between. It's groovy, dynamic and has a danceable tempo. The patterns are brought in such a perfection that it keeps surprising me every time. There is little color or melody in this album, but the patterns used create a unique and immersive atmosphere. It's been a unique experience for me as it sounds as if the artist and synths are influencing eachother vice versa. At one point you can hear a perfectly balanced composition and at another point the sounds and patterns are going on their own unpredictable (but mathematically perfect) loop. This is the Parvati style at its best.As for the variation in this album: It has a more "fullony" track, the mid is typical Arjuna, and it gets more dark and downspiralling near the end. 4,5/5
