The Thula Project / An Album of South African Lullabies is a groundbreaking 15-track musical album of South African lullabies, featuring Gloria Bosman, Yusuf Islam, Faith Kekana, Loyiso, Nana, Neo Muyanga, and Wendy Oldfield,

The Thula Project has been critically acclaimed . It was given as a gift to invited guests when Nelson Mandela was given the freedom of the city of Johannesburg.
Tracks from The Thula Project are featured in the Hollywood feature, Duma (Warner Brothers, 2005), and the television series, ER (Warner Brothers, 2006).

The album was nominated for a 2004 SAMA Award for Album Packaging, and was also a finalist for a 2004 Loerie Festival Award for Packaging. In recognition of the album’s excellence, a listening node was created for The Thula Project at the 2004 Design Indaba Expo.
Funding for this project was provided by the South African-Norwegian Education and Music Programme (MMiNO), and the National Arts Council of South Africa (NAC).
