Edith Pief was a marvalous singer. In my book, nobody could sing La Vienrose like she could. She had a very distinctive vocal quality that nobody else has or have. Considering her relative short life, she accomplished alot. I would refer to her as an overachiver. She was also a beautiful woman. You don't see woman quite this beautiful these days. Taylor Swift is typical of todays femail singers. To me their's nothing unique about her voice at all and she looks average by comparision to Edith Pief. Of today's female singers' I like Katherine McPhea most of all. She is also a very good actress on the CBS Series " Scorpion". She sang All The Way on one of the Frank Sanatra's 100th Annerversery Shows and it was a very beautiful rendition of that Sanatra's Hit Song. She is not hard on the eyes either.Sincerely:Jay
