Narder
Ian Boddy is known mainly as ambient musician but this album was a step aside for Ian or rather the searching for identity. It's synthie-pop darkwave music with a touch of progressive rock influences (you could note influence of Emerson, Lake and Palmer in title track). Music is very emotional and positive (as much as it possible for darkwave music). Vocals by Brian Ross in a kind of Oriental style ('Living in a Ritual") and drums by Ian McCormack ("Spirits") are adding emotional colours to electronic paintings by Ian Boddy and making the music emotional and sincere. Bounus track "Lamalode" (choral singing with ambiental background and piano) is from 1995 and has nearly nothing common with the emotional mood of the album.Album would be interesting for you if like darkwave music (as example early Dead Can Dance) or if you'd like to open for yourself the other side of Ian Boddy (and believe that album sounds much lively than works by Ian from 2000s).P.S. It would be interesting if back in the 80s Ian Boddy continued to work in this prog/darkwave/gothic style.
