This is one of the reasons I love Discogs, until I browsed around I never noticed this was the same singer responsible for the vocals on Rank 1's classics "Such Is Life" and "It's Up To You (Symsonic)". However, good as those tracks are, "Serendipity" is a more relaxed track that shows off her vocal talents far more and Benya's production skills are similarly apparent. I can't add much to Trisscologg's description but if you're jaded by unimaginative vocal trancers, this is something very special that every trance fan should hear. Beautiful production.

2009 has just begun and this will have to remain one of the best tracks this year! It's so awesome to find an extroadinary gem amongst all the shimmery trancers these days. Featuring the captivating voice of Penny Nixon, blending seemlessly with the soft aura Ben Bording has been so noted for, Serendipity will be hard to pause once it's been started. With the build up consisting of the common percussion, bassline and synth tools, one might expect to find themselves listening to a typical production. Then, as the first break enters and Ms. Nixon begins to sing, all is forgiven. At this point the art of seduction ultimately comes into affect. The track just floats there for a bit, dream-like, settling into us as we begin to expect something gorgeous to approach the ears, and then... well... that melodic synth fades in! By this time it's quite obvious what's going to happen. Like all trance tracks with happy endings, a bridge finds its way to the end, combining all the pieces to sum up a beautiful finale to enjoy forever (except this time Nixon is humming in the background). It doesn't end there though. Instead of concluding the track with only generic beats and other percussion, Bording leaves the listener a violin composition; to remind he or she that they've just experienced a truly epic journey and now it's time to dwel on what's left. Oh wait, I forgot to talk about the other mixes... Haha!
