Welcome to a dark underworld of Euro-friendly flights of fear. A dramatic currency of vampire slaves and frightened children cower beneath suspenseful strings - harmonized clattering of chattered tongues, giving this album its hauntingly classic charm. These recordings have been inspired by Indian horror flicks from the 70’s. A time when censorship was blurred and gore was truly gore. Directors were revealing a part of humanity we rarely see on camera (and got away with it!).Strong subsidies of space rock and mellowing ambient landscapes make for excellent conversation when this album is at its peak. Inside of every shadow, around each darkened corner, this record speaks against any basic format of horror movie soundtracks. There could never be another LP like this one. No subsequent album has ever given the listener as much. To note, while I thoroughly enjoy the Avonwaith LP, there is something purely attractive about this production that stays with me long after the music has stopped. A highly abstractive quality lingers in the mind. A full on head trip. A must have for anyone fascinated with dub and cinematic workings. This album is widescreen and wonderful, masterfully composed and brilliantly designed. Only if you look for it will it be there.
