Even though I am a "Yank" who did not get to experience the Old Skool scene first-hand, I am an avid collector and fan of electronic dance music, with the Old Skool UK Rave scene being my favorite subculture. With that said, I feel that this release sums up the original underground scene to its fullest, and would be my recommendation to anyone looking to get a feel for the original hardcore sound.Subtle, Dirty, Energetic, and a little hint of the Darkness that made these sounds so memorable...5 Stars all the way, my favorite toons of all time!

"man's thing" may not be the most well known track from hardcore-ridden 1992 but it's definitely one of the best i reckon - really uplifting echoey vocals (no doubt pilfered from a dodgy pop record that came out years before)layered over some pretty rough and rolling breaks and seriously heavy bass to masterful effect.. check this out if you get a chance.. really top stuff from hardcore's golden year (and damn rare to find i imagine!!!)
