One of my favourites from either Pendragon or Astral Phoenix (probably both) at the legendary Tyssen Street from back in the day. This one could easily have got 5 stars, as A1 and AA1 are definitely the mixes to go for. However.. there's always a "but", isn't there? In this case... remember all those brilliant mid-to-late 90s hard trance raves and tapes (think Billy Bunter, Mark EG, etc) which were ruined by some coked-up wasteman MC going "wooh, Birkenhead crew, f*kin 'ell" all over some of the best bangers around? Well, this one isn't quite as bad, but two of the mixes are totally ruined by a dreadful, cheesy "rap" about the "Tribe" in the title. Why??? It totally ruins what could have been a near-perfect set of tunes. The Secret were (a) great live at Samsara, etc., and (b) were great on nearly all of their recorded output, so I really can't understand what they were thinking here! Buy this for A1 and AA1 - especially if, like me, you remember the magic of those aforementioned nights :)
