In 1979, Italian progressive rock they survived little, the movement has already given everything and now the public prefers music more immediate. However there are those who still try to offer jobs that have to do with prog, as Francesco Bucchieri. His work is called Journey of 1979, and it's an album of electronic parts that recall the atmosphere and cosmic kraut: Buccheri he became interested in music by listening to Atom Heart Mother and groups on the German scene. Although the work does not shine for originality there are very beautiful moments. While there are guitar, drums and violin, the songs are dominated by keyboards. The disc opens with the long suite that gives the title to the disc, a chronicle of interstellar travel, as reported by the liner notes, dominated by synthesizers and various keyboards, with recitatives heavily filtered (it is hard to make out the words of the text, which it seems to me in English). The suite sounds, however poorly articulated, and separate it into multiple tracks would not have taken much, but perhaps even would have made a little 'more smoothly. The other pieces are not marked by interesting ideas, and if on the one hand, the overall sound is very uniform, the other quest'uniformità makes it a bit 'samey' the disc: Annalia, with its epic atmospheres piano and voices, all accompanied by guitar chords maybe a little 'off topic; Dream, sunny keyboards, probably one of the best moments, Solitude, by the reason of violin and synth, not very convincing. The last two pieces, sung, instead, are lighter, and would seem to songs album external (and English pronunciation is not great). Too bad because the substrate and the instrumental breaks are not to be thrown away, just like the violin and synthesizer of Jesus Christ. In short, not a great record in general, but every now and then can make pleasure travel together to Buccheri on his spaceship ...Roberto Mingozzi - tastiereDanilo Forni - violino e tastiereMarco Raimondi – batteriaFrancesco Buccheri - pianoforte, sintetizzatori, mellotron, chitarre elettriche, acustiche e a 12 corde.
