One of the things I'm most proud of is the fact that my very first real 12" (actually my second twelve behind the Ravemasters Mixes single) landed on this label with many of my heroes. Next to the last release on this legendary New York label. Me and The famed DJ Hidden Rhythm (Later The Beat Archaeologist) did this record on an MT100 4 Track cassette with Paul Mix (later on EXperimental) on the mixing desk (very primitive setup) and I recall going into Nu Grooves offices where Judy Russell was at the desk and being all happy about getting signed. We received a check of $250 and nothing more and I imagine like 1-2,000 copies were made up. Nonetheless this record rarely ever pops up and Im lucky to have a copy. At one time I had 3 test pressings as well

Samples used included live recordings from the Police calls in the South Bronx around East Tremont Ave. as in 1989-90 I would take my Police scanner and record the many calls
