The initial event was a party on Berlin's Love parade 1995, where I danced for 12 hours to a magic set played by Sven Väth and this track was one of them. That day I decided to become a producer and a performer.
That party, for sure blew me away. But I had no idea on what exactly I was dancing on. I investigated the music and found a little TV cut a friend recorded.
On that 3 mins video, this particular track was playing.
It took me another 12 years to find out the name of the track (Shazam, mobiles, etc weren't existing back then). I found it on Trope Records compilation.
At that time I fiddled a bit with new mastering plugins and put that track in. Originally it sounded really thin but after putting it in my chain, it became the most amazing, full of sound I listened for long. Later on, I made a lot of edits to bring it into a more modern shape. During the years I played it here and there and the idea came up to release it again. It took me quite some time to find one of the original members of "Black Labs". Luckily I could find Carl A. Finlow on the internet and he allowed me
to rerelease it.
This track stands for Playfulness and the feeling of unlimited freedom which we had back then after the Berlin wall came down.
Whenever I play it, its magic and energy still blow my mind.
I am so happy to represent: Black Labs, Space Bar and on the „B-Side" Semiology, a piece of music which shows how deep it went in those days, into the rabbit hole.

Notes
Back in 1994 "Space Bar" was originally released on Trope Recordings. It became popular in the summer of 1995, the year when I really came closer to techno music. The initial event was a party on Berlin's Love parade 1995, where I danced for 12 hours to a magic set played by Sven Väth and this track was one of them. That day I decided to become a producer and a performer.
